Fear & Realisation
She reached out towards Beth in thought and snatched the hold as soon as she felt the connection. “Beth, Please if you can hear me please answer quickly” She saw Beth’s head snap around towards her
“I can hear you, where are you”
“No time for explanations Beth, what time is it?”
“Ten thirty. What’s wrong?”
“Get your gown we need to start the initiation earlier than we planned”
“What is it Morgan, your scaring me”
“I don’t want you to panic so listen carefully. Laura told us that there were tests we would go through before and during the initiation. Well I just didn’t realise the severity of the tests. Im not in your world Im stuck in this world and its…” Morgan checked her watch
“Morgan!”
“I’m here… It’s still 10 o’clock and has been for half an hour now ” Even the museum clock chimed 10”
Brian had sensed a build up of tension in Beth “You okay?”
Beth nodded “So what do we do Morgan? If I can’t see you how are we going to do this?”
“We have to do the initiation alone, but, together. Like this basically”
“That’s going to drain us fast!”
“I know but it’s the only way we have unless Wayne shows up.”
“Can you see me Morgan?”
“Yeah”
“Stay with us. I’m going to tune you out but keep the connection open okay?”
“Okay”
Silence filled Beth’s head and she sighed inwardly. “Brian?” She looked at Brian knowing what she had to do and knowing Morgan would die rather than break the rules but she also knew, they needed help.
Morgan stood there helpless. Realising that these were more than tests now had sent panic coursing through her. Her adrenaline rush would ware off soon and leave her drained. She couldn’t lose the grip of fear now for fear of losing the energy that went with it. She had to start thinking however. She had to come up with a better solution than waiting on Wayne.
